DAY 2: Romania, Hungary, Poland and Croatia take the win

The first two countries to compete on day 2 were Romania and Austria from Group A. Romania scored a three-pointer in the opening seconds and later built a significant lead. By halftime, they were up by 16 points after another three-pointer at the buzzer, bringing the score to 41:25. Austria fought hard and significantly closed the gap in the last quarter, but it wasn't enough. The game ended with a score of 75:69. The most efficient player was Bianca Stoianovici, who finished with 21 points and an efficiency rating of 15.

The second game of the day featured Slovakia and Hungary from Group B. While Hungary held a close 7-point lead at halftime (33:26), they dominated the third quarter. Hungary extended their lead to a significant 19-point advantage as they headed into the final period (54:35). Slovakia closed the gap in the third quarter, but it wasn't enough to secure the win, 47:59. Hungary now has two wins and is getting closer to the semi-finals. The most efficient player was Vírag Varkoly, who finished with 14 points and six rebounds for an efficiency rating of 18.

Back to Group A, Poland and Slovenia stepped onto the court. The game was tied until last two minutes of first quarter, when Poland took the lead with three consecutive three-pointers, ending the period at 21:11. By halftime, they were leading by 27 points (22:49). Slovenia did not make a comeback and the game ended with a final score of 77:49. The most efficient player was Weronika Wietek, who ending with 11 points and an efficiency rating of 10.

To finish off the day, Bulgaria and Croatia from Group B played an exciting game that was very close in the beginning, with the first half ending at 34:30 in favor of Croatia. In the third quarter, Croatia pulled away with a series of strong plays, extending their lead to 14 points (52:38). In the end, Bulgaria fought hard, but Croatia's lead was unreachable, and the game finished with a final score of 66:53. The most efficient player was Bruna Jurajić with 22 points and efficiency rating of 19.

“It was a great, both teams fought hard, but in the end, we wanted it more. That’s why we won. Congratulations to my girls; they were amazing. We're enjoying this, so tomorrow we will play our game against Hungary with a bit less pressure.”
