The U14 I Feel Slovenia Ball for Boys 2025 has tipped off, bringing together Europe’s rising stars for a week of fierce competition. Group stages are underway, with every win pushing teams closer to the knockout rounds.

For many of these young athletes, the U14 I Feel Slovenia Ball is their very first time at international basketball games wearing their country’s colours. This tournament is more than just a competition, it gives players a chance to experience the pace, pressure, and atmosphere of representing their nation. The tournament serves as a vital stepping stone toward higher levels, preparing them for future challenges such as the U16 European Championship, where every possession carries weight and every decision matters.

Ahead of the U14 I Feel Slovenia Ball for Boys 2025, we asked each coach to share their team’s goals and strengths in their own words, highlighting the importance of this tournament for young players.

Mateja Gajic, Head coach of Austria:
“Our best strength is being very physical, fighting for rebound. If we make enough shots we have a chance.”
Ventsislav Kostev, Head coach of Bulgaria:
“The boys get to have experience and a chance to fight on the court, where I think speed is our strength.”
Darko Kunce, Head coach of Croatia:
“I think our biggest strength is good defence and fair play, we will try to defend last year’s tittle.”
Ákos Lakosa, Head coach of Hungary:
“We want to play fast, and our goal is to improve every game regardless of the results.”
Wojciech Rogowski, Head coach of Poland:
“The goal for this age is selecting for U16. This is their first tournament. But everybody wants to win, and we want to win every game.”
Bogdan Ispas, Head coach of Romania:
“Especially with youth programs we are trying to give a chance to everybody and make a team for the next step – U16. This is our goal, but of course we are trying to win every game."
Rick Brooks, Head coach Slovakia:
“We are trying to identify talents earlier, so when they get to U16 they have some experience. We know we have a challenging journey ahead, but our hard work and dedication will ensure a bright future.”
Domen Drobne, Head coach of Slovenia:
“This team's greatest strength is that they are truly connected, had great preparations together, and have shown that they can play modern, fast basketball that will take them far.”
